What is CITES?
The ‘Washington’ Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, more commonly known as CITES, aims to protect certain plants and animals by regulating and monitoring their international trade to prevent it reaching unsustainable levels.
This 1781 Pochette is created in precious black crocodile with a brilliant finish.
The 1781 collection of handbags is designed to celebrate the establishment of Asprey in that year and the styling harks back to early travel bags. Wear the endlessly versatile 1781 pochette with the belt strap elegantly closed or open for a more informal look. Hold in the hand or wear cross body on the detachable shoulder strap closure.
The 1781 pochette includes a zip coin section, credit card pockets, detachable shoulder strap and is lined with lambskin.
1781 featured in finely engineered metal on the front. Polished palladium finish hardware.
Product Care All Asprey crocodile handbags are either Nile or Porossus Crocodile or Mississippi Alligator, and are protected by the Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, to ensure sustainability. Maintain the beauty of your Asprey Crocodilian handbag to ensure it endures through time. The precious nature of these leathers require that it is kept away from direct contact with heat, water, light & oil, all of which can cause damage to the appearance of the skin. Wipe away any moisture as soon as possible. When not in use, replace the custom-made kid suede cushion provided inside the handbag to hold its shape, and store it in the dust bag provided and in a clean, dry, temperate atmosphere.
Commercial care products are not kind to Asprey crocodile handbags. A soft dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the beauty of the leather. Should there be a problem, we recommend you contact us for some expert TLC, using the Asprey after-sales service.

Queen Victoria awarded Asprey its first Royal Warrant in 1862 for dressing cases, travelling bags and writing cases. Since then, Asprey has held a Royal Warrant for every British monarch — and for several other foreign heads of state.
