Hand carved 24% lead crystal vase depicting a family of elephants crossing the savannah. The intricate decoration is achieved by using copper wheel and diamond burr carving and etching techniques, creating a tactile cameo in fine detail and relief. Each vase is mouth blown using a layering technique known as cup casing, where even layers of coloured glass are fused together and then blown into the desired form. The artist then carves through the layers of glass to create a cameo effect. Each piece is unique and takes 160 hours to produce. Limited edition of 10, signed & numbered by the artist.
