This version of the GMT Suitbag is super lightweight, thanks to its unique combination of soft grained bullskin and woven horsehair fabric. The foldover construction, zip top closure and 2 carry handles of the GMT suitbag ensure it will neatly fit coats and suits, and with the single hanger included, it is a streamlined travel essential.
About the Material Horsehair is a wonderful traditional fabric, woven in England since the 18th century. Originally woven from the tails of working Shire horses which were cropped for safety, the horsehair used in this piece is woven with cotton on original wooden looms. Specially selected European bullskin is tanned to emphasize the natural grain of the leather. Tanned with a combination of mineral and vegetable agents, the bullskin is extremely durable. Drum dyed, the colours are clear and deep, making use of dyes selected for their richness and light fastness.
Product Care Maintain the beauty of your Asprey bullskin & horsehair product to ensure it endures though time. Avoid direct contact with heat, water, light & oil, as well as any situation that is either too humid or dry. Wipe away any moisture as soon as possible. When not in use, store your leather product in the dust bag provided and in a clean, dry, temperate atmosphere.
Commercial care products are not kind to Asprey bullskin & horsehair products. A soft dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the beauty of the leather. Should there be a problem, we recommend you contact us for some expert TLC, using the Asprey after-sales service
